Skill Requirements:

• 4+ years experience with Linux, preferably one of the Redhat or Debian-based varieties
• Experience administering Amazon Web Services based infrastructures (EC2, S3, VPC, Cloudfront, ELBs, etc. )
• Configuration management tools such as Puppet or Chef
• Logging, monitoring, and alerting tools such as Nagios, OpenNMS, Zabbix, Splunk, Cacti, munin
• Shell and general command line skills
• Understanding of network protocols and their implementation (subnets, routes, gateways, etc.)
• Knowledge of modern scripting languages (Bash, Python, Perl, Ruby)
• Source Control (git)
• Experience building multi-tiered, scalable, highly available applications
• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related experience

Bonus Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate has significant experience building web application infrastructures
• Familiarity with one or more of the following: redis, nginx, rabbit, mongodb, memcached, zookeeper, cassandra, haproxy, fabric, capistrano
• You’re interested in “The Internet of Things” and Home Automation
• You have strong respect and interest in the architectures that power Google, Facebook, Netflix, Reddit, Etsy
• You care about being part of a team that is doing something interesting and having fun while doing it
