بعد از حدود ۶ ماه نهمین نسخه رسمی رفع اشکال شده توسط سایت رسمی گیمپ ارائه شد . این نسخه نسبت به نسخه ۲٫۶٫۸ امکانات جدیدی ندارد و فقط تعدادی از اشکالها در آن رفع شده است .
